Ways to play
Same words, four completely different rooms — the crowd on your sofa, the friend on the other side of the country, the AI in your pocket, and everyone on camera at once.
Pass the phone, split into teams and explain as many words as you can before the timer runs out. Three players and up, one device, no setup.
Record short clue videos and send them. Your friend guesses out loud while their camera runs, and both sides are stitched into one split-screen clip.
Nobody free tonight? Explain out loud and the on-device AI guesses your word. Or flip it — the AI gives the clues and you race to guess.
A live video match with friends anywhere. Teams of two, cameras on, the same word on every screen at the same moment.
The magic happens here
You explain on your side, they guess on theirs, and the app puts the two halves together. The wrong answers are usually the best part.
Same word.
Two perspectives.
Twice the fun.

Word packs
Eighteen packs and more than 60,000 words. Some are free, some are one-off purchases, and every one of them is written in the language you play in — not machine-translated from English.

8,700 words in English alone — objects, professions, verbs, sport, culture and plenty of everyday life. The pack the game is named after.
12 languages

Describe the word without saying any of the four obvious hints printed beneath it. Slip once and the other team buzzes you.
9 languages

Draw the word straight on your phone — no pen, no paper, no letters or numbers. Save the drawing when the round ends.
800 prompts per language

Over 1,000 words across three levels. Easy scores 1 point, medium 2, hard 3 — and you never know what is coming next.
9 languages

From heel kicks to shots on goal. Players, clubs and moments for the crowd that argues about football anyway.

Yes to start. Alias Classic, Taboo, Football, Junior and every country pack cost nothing. Draw & Guess, Easy Medium Hard, Who Am I?, Movies & TV and NBA are one-off purchases — and each one gives you a free try before you decide.
For a party round, no — you all share one phone. A challenge link opens in any browser, and they only need the app when they want to answer back or start their own game.
Twelve for Alias Classic: English, German, French, Croatian, Italian, Serbian, Swedish, Russian, Dutch, Bosnian, Slovenian and Spanish. The app's own interface is translated into nine.
A party round works with no signal at all — the words live on the device, and so does Draw & Guess. Challenges and online play need a connection.
Three and up for a party round, four for Draw & Guess, and two for online play. Alias Junior works from age four, since every word has a picture beside it.
Your clue videos and your friend's reaction are filmed separately, then stitched by the app into one vertical clip. Save it, send it back, or dare somebody else to beat the score.
They stay on your device until you send a challenge. Sending one uploads the clip so your friend can watch it, and you can remove your data at any time from the app.
It is a one-off purchase, with one free try so you can see it first. 800 drawing prompts per language, and no pen or paper needed.
You explain out loud and the phone guesses your word, using on-device speech and language models. Or the AI gives the clues and you do the guessing.
Both — and a challenge recorded on one opens on the other.
Download Alias Words and start your first round tonight.
