Welcome to Alias Words.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Alias Words application, website and related services operated by World of IT d.o.o., Croatia (“Alias Words”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, accessing or using Alias Words, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

1. Alias Words

Alias Words is a social word and party game that may include features such as:

• local gameplay;
• online multiplayer;
• Challenge Mode;
• AI-related game modes;
• video or audio communication;
• game replays;
• premium decks;
• subscriptions;
• advertising;
• other game features that may change over time.

Some features require:

• an internet connection;
• an account;
• camera or microphone access;
• a supported device;
• a purchase or subscription.

2. Licence to use Alias Words

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to use Alias Words for personal entertainment in accordance with these Terms.

This licence does not transfer ownership of any part of Alias Words to you.

You may not use Alias Words for unlawful purposes or in a way that violates these Terms.

3. Accounts

Some features may require you to sign in using a supported account provider, such as:

• Sign in with Apple;
• Google Sign-In.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and third-party account.

You must not intentionally:

• impersonate another person;
• create accounts for fraudulent purposes;
• attempt to bypass restrictions;
• interfere with the service;
• gain unauthorized access to another user’s account.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, our service or other parties.

4. Local gameplay

Most local gameplay is designed for people playing together.

You are responsible for:

• choosing who participates;
• choosing appropriate decks;
• ensuring that the game is suitable for your group;
• how players interact with one another.

Some decks may include words, topics or references that are more appropriate for older players.

5. Online Play and Challenge Mode

Online features allow users to interact remotely.

When using these features, you agree not to:

• harass another person;
• threaten another person;
• engage in hateful or discriminatory conduct;
• display sexually explicit content;
• intentionally expose another person to disturbing or illegal material;
• impersonate another user;
• use the service for fraud or illegal activity;
• attempt to exploit or compromise another user’s device;
• intentionally disrupt another user’s game or connection.

We may suspend or terminate access to online features where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

Serious illegal activity may be reported to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

6. Camera, microphone and video

Some Alias Words features may use:

• your camera;
• your microphone;
• live video;
• live audio;
• recorded video;
• recorded audio.

You choose whether to grant these permissions.

If you record other people, you are responsible for ensuring that they know they are being recorded and that you have any permission required by applicable law.

Do not record or distribute someone in a way that violates their privacy or other legal rights.

7. Replays and “Share with Alias”

Alias Words may allow you to create a replay and optionally submit it to us.

Submitting a replay is voluntary.

If you submit a replay through a feature such as Share with Alias, you confirm that:

1. you created the content or otherwise have the right to submit it;
2. every identifiable person in the replay has agreed that the replay may be submitted and used for the purposes described below;
3. the replay does not violate another person’s privacy, copyright, publicity or other rights;
4. the replay does not contain unlawful content.

By submitting a replay, you grant World of IT d.o.o. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• reproduce;
• edit;
• crop;
• resize;
• subtitle;
• format;
• publish;
• display;
• distribute

the submitted content for the purpose of promoting Alias Words.

This may include use on:

• TikTok;
• Instagram;
• Facebook;
• YouTube;
• our website;
• app-store listings;
• digital advertisements;
• other Alias Words marketing channels.

You continue to own your original content.

We do not acquire ownership of your replay simply because you submit it.

You may contact aliaswordsapp@gmail.com if you want us to stop using your submitted replay in future promotional material.

We will make reasonable efforts to comply with valid requests.

However, we may not be able to immediately remove content that:

• has already been distributed;
• is included in an existing advertisement;
• has already been reposted by third parties;
• is technically outside our control.

8. Content standards

You must not knowingly upload, submit, transmit or display content through Alias Words that:

• is illegal;
• is threatening or abusive;
• promotes violence against another person;
• contains unlawful hate speech;
• is sexually explicit in a context where it is inappropriate or unlawful;
• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• contains malware or malicious code;
• is intended to defraud or deceive;
• contains personal information about another person without authorization where authorization is legally required.

We may remove submitted content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or comply with law.

9. Intellectual property

Alias Words and its original content are owned by or licensed to World of IT d.o.o.

This includes, where applicable:

• software;
• source code;
• visual design;
• user interface;
• graphics;
• branding;
• logos;
• game mechanics as protected by applicable law;
• original word packs and deck organization;
• text;
• audio;
• promotional material.

You may not, except where applicable law expressly allows it:

• copy or redistribute substantial parts of the app;
• extract or reproduce our word databases or decks;
• sell or commercially exploit our content;
• reverse engineer the app;
• bypass technical protection mechanisms;
• create unauthorized copies;
• use our trademarks in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement.

10. Third-party names and content

Certain decks may refer to:

• public figures;
• athletes;
• movies;
• television shows;
• countries;
• sports;
• brands;
• cultural works;
• other well-known topics.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, such references are used descriptively for gameplay.

Alias Words is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the owners of third-party brands, sports leagues, films, television programs or personalities merely because they are referenced in the game.

All third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Purchases

Alias Words may offer paid digital content, including:

• premium decks;
• removal of advertisements;
• feature unlocks;
• bundles;
• subscriptions.

Purchases are processed through the platform from which you obtained the app, such as:

• Apple App Store;
• Google Play.

The relevant store’s payment terms also apply.

We do not directly process your payment-card information.

12. Subscriptions

If Alias Words offers subscriptions, the purchase screen will display:

• the price;
• billing period;
• benefits;
• any available trial;
• renewal terms.

Unless otherwise stated by the relevant store, subscriptions may automatically renew until cancelled.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the account settings of the store through which the subscription was purchased.

Deleting Alias Words does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.

13. Trials and promotional access

We may occasionally offer:

• free trials;
• temporary premium access;
• promotional pricing;
• rewarded-ad unlocks;
• special offers.

Eligibility, duration and availability may vary.

We may change or end promotional offers where permitted by law.

Users are not necessarily entitled to repeated use of introductory or promotional offers.

14. Refunds

Payments are generally handled by Apple, Google or the applicable store provider.

Refund requests are therefore normally subject to the policies and procedures of the store through which the purchase was made.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

15. Advertising

The free version of Alias Words may display advertisements.

Advertising may be provided by third parties.

We do not control the content of every advertisement displayed by third-party advertising networks.

If you believe an advertisement is inappropriate, misleading or harmful, you can contact us and, where available, report the advertisement through the advertising provider.

16. Availability of the service

We work to keep Alias Words available and functioning properly.

However, we do not guarantee that the service will always be:

• uninterrupted;
• error-free;
• available on every device;
• compatible with every operating-system version;
• free from delays or technical problems.

We may temporarily suspend features for:

• maintenance;
• security;
• updates;
• technical issues;
• changes to third-party services.

17. Changes to Alias Words

Alias Words is an evolving product.

We may:

• add features;
• remove features;
• change game modes;
• update decks;
• change user-interface elements;
• change technical requirements;
• change pricing of future purchases;
• discontinue features.

Where you have already purchased permanent digital content, we will not intentionally remove access to it without a legitimate reason, except where required by law, security needs, platform rules or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

18. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to part or all of Alias Words if we reasonably believe that you:

• seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms;
• misuse online communication features;
• engage in harassment;
• attempt fraud;
• compromise the security of the service;
• attempt unauthorized access;
• manipulate purchases or subscriptions;
• use the service for illegal purposes.

Where appropriate, we may first provide a warning.

We may act immediately where necessary to protect users, the service or third parties.

19. Disclaimers

Alias Words is provided primarily for entertainment.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that:

• every word or clue is error-free;
• every deck will be appropriate for every group;
• online connections will always work;
• third-party services will always remain available;
• AI-generated or automated content will always be accurate.

Users should use their own judgment when interacting with generated or user-provided content.

20. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, World of IT d.o.o. will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss resulting from:

• your misuse of Alias Words;
• loss of access caused by third-party services;
• interruption of internet connectivity;
• disputes between players;
• content voluntarily recorded or shared by users;
• unauthorized access caused by failure to secure your own device or third-party account.

These limitations do not affect mandatory consumer rights.

21. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy:

The Privacy Policy forms an important part of how Alias Words operates.

22. Children

Alias Words is not directed to children under 13.

Children under 13 should not independently use:

• account features;
• Online Play;
• Challenge Mode;
• live communication features;
• Share with Alias.

Some local game content may be suitable for family play with adults.

Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether particular game content is suitable for children in their care.

23. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia.

However, if you are a consumer residing in another country, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections provided by the laws applicable to you.

Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts determined under applicable law.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when:

• Alias Words changes;
• new features are introduced;
• legal requirements change;
• platform rules change.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the app where appropriate.

Your continued use of Alias Words after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
